I'm so delighted that Mark Dougherty is doing such a great job of re-arranging the music of the show. Every piece he has sent me has taken on a new life. It's all very exciting.
Rehearsals are well under way, and apart from a few casting problems which are currently being dealt with, believable Northern Ireland accents would seem to be the area that will require the most work.
Pat McGovern, company Chairperson of Ballinrobe, continues to inspire everyone with his enthusiasm, and with the remarkable talents of John Roe as Musical Director, Mary Grealis as Chorus Mistress and Aoife McClafferty as Assistant Choreographer, I am supremely confident that this is going to be a production to savour and to remember!
I'll give more details about the cast a little later, but suffice it to say, as always, Ballinrobe comes up trumps when it comes to talent.
